Baby Saybie weighed the same as a large apple when she was born at 23 weeks and three days in December 2018. Fighting for life, she was transferred to the intensive care unit at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital in San Diego, California. Doctors told Saybie's parents she had just hours to live. But five months on, she was discharged weighing a healthy 5.6 pounds (2.5kg), confounding all expectations. Tsunami alert lifted after M6.6 quake jolts off El Salvador

                              Nixel's blog A shallow 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of El Salvador on Thursday near San Salvador, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck around 40 kilometers south of the capital at a depth of 65 kilometers, said the USGS.  A tsunami warning was issued and classes in coastal areas were canceled. The tremor was reportedly felt in several countries including Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. There have been no immediate reports of casualties.         Source:  CGTN

At least 21 dead in southern Mexico bus accident

                         #Nixel's blog At least 21 people died in a fiery accident in the southeastern Mexican state of Veracruz on Wednesday when a bus collided with a semi-trailer truck, a state official and various local media outlets reported. After the two vehicles collided on the mountain road, the bus rolled over on one side and caught fire. Roberto Hernández, the civil defense director for Nogales township, said the exit doors of the tumbled bus were blocked. Photos and videos circulating on social media showed the bus and truck engulfed in flames. The bus was traveling from Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutierrez in the southern state of Chiapas when the accident occurred in the state of Veracruz near the municipality of Maltrata. Huawei holds on to No. 2 smartphone spot in first quarter: report

Gartner also said Huawei continued to reduce the gap with Samsung, but warned that growth could be limited in the near term. The United States on May 15 blocked Huawei from buying U.S. goods saying the company was involved in activities contrary to national security. The Trump administration softened its stance last week by granting Huawei a license to buy U.S. goods until August 19. Gartner said Samsung retained its top spot in worldwide smartphone sales, achieving a 19.2-percent market share in the first quarter of 2019. Huawei has trademarked its 'Hongmeng' operating system

At least 7 killed on tour of Budapest as boat capsizes

                          #Nixel's Blog      At least seven people were killed and more than a dozen are missing after a pleasure boat carrying South Korean tourists capsized on the flooding Danube River in the Hungarian capital Budapest on Wednesday, police and ambulance said. According to the Foreign Ministry of South Korea, 33 South Korean tourists were on board the ship. Seven of them were rescued; seven are confirmed dead; and the 19 others, remain missing.  The ministry said it had established an emergency task force to obtain more information from Hungary and contact the victims' families.
